Integrative Medicine

A New Approach

In the Journey to Wellness consider these eight dimensions as central to creating and maintaining health and vitality.

Roll over the wheel to view the quotes.

Integrative Medicine is healing-oriented and considers the whole person - body, mind and spirit - including all aspects of lifestyle.  It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and makes use of both conventional and alternative therapies.  Our physicians have formal education in Integrative Medicine as well as many years of experience in conventional medicine.  Our alternative practitioners have the highest certifications in their field and are experienced in caring for people who have a wide range of medical conditions and diagnoses.  Members of this multidisciplinary team collaborate regularly to monitor patients' progress and develop patients' individualized care plans.

"You can complain because roses have thorns...

or you can rejoice because thorns have roses...

~ Ziggy

The Mission of the Integrative Medicine Program

We strive to expand the definition of healing to include the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of an individual. We endeavor to create an environment in which both practitioner and patient are engaged in their own healing process and lifelong learning. We intend to serve as a new model for addressing health in this country.

It is more important to know what sort of person has the diseases than what kind of disease the person has. - Hippocrates
