Esophageal

Esophageal cancer is relatively uncommon in the United States, and occurs most often in men over 50 years old. It affects less than 5 in 100,000 people.  The key identified risk factors include smoking, alcohol consumption and patient’s with Barrett’s esophagus.

Symptoms can include difficulty swallowing, regurgitation, heartburn, unexplained weightloss, blood in vomit or chest pain unrelated to eating.  If you experience these symptoms, please talk to your physician who may refer you to a gastroenterologist
