The Doreen E. Chapman Center at Highland Park Hospital provides out patient treatment for adults and their families struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. The Chapman Center also offers effective, coordinated services to individuals who have an addiction and a co-occurring mental disorder or chronic pain.  At the Chapman Center individuals can find professional, compassionate help. Staffed with a team of addiction experts, and directed by Dr. Laura Parise, a Board certified psychiatrist and addictionolgist, the Chapman Center focuses on all aspects of the disease to provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment approach.

The patient is guided through recovery starting with an assessment to determine their needs. Once the appropriate level of care is determined the patient is engaged in an individualized treatment program that includes the expertise of a multidisciplinary staff.  Varied levels of care are available including day and evening programs. Patients have access to psychiatric monitoring throughout treatment and weekly individual sessions with their primary counselor to ensure that their needs are being addressed.  We encourage family involvement and offer a strong family component that is built into our treatment program. The Doreen E. Chapman Center provides professional care with a focus on wellness that gives people a renewed sense of hope that recovery is achievable.
